  • Heartworm Test / Preventive: We offer preventive medications, and periodic blood testing as needed. Each animal’s situation is assessed to determine what product and approach is best suited.
  • Blood Tests / Panels: Bloodwork can help with diagnosis. We offer full blood panels and specific testing based on each pet’s situation. Routine screening on an annual basis for older animals is also offered.
  • Geriatric Care: Older animals have their own set of problems. They can suffer from pain from arthritis or old injuries, weakness, or cognitive changes. Many of these conditions can be improved with proper management.
  • Pain Management: Quality of life is important, and managing chronic painful conditions is essential to maintaining good quality of life.
  • Surgery: Treatment of minor wounds and removal of small masses can often be performed in the home. For animals who are nervous we provide sedation to decrease any stress. We refer to a hospital with surgical facilities for more involved surgeries or those requiring full anesthesia.
  • Dentistry: Dental disease can be assessed with an oral exam. Many pets who have significant dental disease do not show any signs of discomfort even though they are in pain. There are many approaches to preventing dental disease and decreasing its progression. Full proper dental cleanings require anesthesia. For animals who have significant tartar buildup, additional problems may only be identified once the pet has been anesthetized and the teeth have been cleaned. When a teeth cleaning or extractions are needed, we refer to a hospital with those facilities.
  • Radiology: Hospital referral. We currently do not have x-ray capabilities. We refer to local hospitals for these cases.
  • Ultrasound: Hospital referral. We currently do not have ultrasound capabilities. We refer to local hospitals for these cases.
